Replaced air filter

06/08/2019
The car had been idling oddly. Cold idle (2200 RPM’s) was higher than normal and warm idle (550 RPM’s) was lower than expected and rough. I honestly thought the tune up would have helped with this but it didn’t. Decided to check the cars timing and found it was spot on. Did find the distributor was leaking oil but that’s the next update. Anyway, checked the air filter and found the factory design K&N air filter and it was heavily oiled. Previous owner over oiled it and it was restricting air flow. Replaced it with a DENSO 1432101 (143-2101) paper air filter and the car purred right where it should cold (1800 RPM’s) and warm (750 RPM’s) idle. Another successful repair.
